Meaningful Life Therapy (MLT) is a Morita therapy-based method for assisting those with cancer and other serious illnesses. The underlying principles include humor, goal setting, self-discipline and service to others. While playing an active role in their own medical treatment, Japanese cancer patients demonstrate these principles by applying themselves to challenging goals including the ascent of Mt. Fuji and Mt. Blanc in the Alps. The videotape shows their courageous efforts and introduces methods that can be helpful to anyone facing the challenges of illness and disease.
